Meet Dr. Jaz

Reza Jazayeri, MD, known to his patients as Dr. Jaz, is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who focuses on the shoulder, knee, and elbow. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the nationally ranked NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, and trained in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, a Cedars-Sinai affiliated institution in Los Angeles.
After more than 15 years with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Dr. Jaz joined DOCS Health, where he serves as Director of Longevity and leads regenerative and optimization protocols that support long-term musculoskeletal health. He also serves as faculty for the Smith+Nephew UFC Combat Sports Medicine Course and stays involved in training future orthopedic surgeons.
A Southern California native, Dr. Jaz studied mechanical engineering and raced cars for Honda in college before choosing orthopedic surgery. He still stays active through surfing, rock climbing, strength training, snowboarding, and martial arts, which helps him relate to athletes, fighters, and active adults who want to return fully to the activities they love.
